Posers
“Mum! Look at us! Come and take our photo!!!”

Seven years ago I became a mother.

Elisha, I’ve loved having you as my first born.

You are a treasure and a delight.

It has been amazing to watch you grow in every way.

From a little baby, to the big boy that you are now.

From knowing nothing, to voraciously reading books, and soaking up all sorts of information.

From crying as your only form of communication to having long conversations on your favourite topics.

From knowing nothing about our Father in heaven, to knowing more about him, and caring about others knowing him.

From being the only child to having two younger siblings.

This year you did not have a party with friends from school.

But we did have a very fun day.

We went to Ikea for breakfast.

And then on to Aqwa.

And last but not least, home for an afternoon tea.
Different people came and joined in at all the locations of your travelling birthday. It was really, very fun, and no stress. We’ll have to do something like that again.
There’s been a gamut of them lately.
Cayley – Mummy, what colour is your heart?
Me - My heart is reddish pink I think Cayley.
Cayley – My heart is stripey.
***
Jos – Mombie (more on this later, if I can get him to perform)
***
Me – to Cayley when trying to brush her teeth – Cayley, open your face up please.
We hope you stay a while! Three new additions to the clan yesterday.
Meet Lava

And Ash

And Call Fish

By the way, do you know how hard it is to take photos of fish in a bag. Not to mention three children trying to elbow their way in to get a look!
Our spare bedroom was emptied out.

My wonderful parents-in-law helped get the room ready. And dad did all the painting. Well okay, he had an assistant and a couple of apprentices.

As I was saying, Dad did all the painting.
The big reveal next time I blog!
Cayley and I are off to Melbourne with my mum in the wee hours of the morning.
We’ll be back Friday, Lord willing.
See you then.
Here’s some lucky ants cleaning up after us this evening.
